Round 4: Quzzicles - It's dangerous in Oz
The nice and easy quizzicles round now to finish with.
1) It can kill a child in minutes, and has caused more deaths in Australia than snakes, sharks and salt water crocodiles put together. But what is it?
2) It is only 1cm in length yet can kill a human, it is of the jellyfish family and is barely visible in the water, what is this smallest of killers called?
3) Another killer living in the water has beautiful blue rings on its body, but if grabbed will emit a poison strong enough to kill within a few hours, what is this creature?
4) A shell that can kill? This one will another blue spotted or zigzagged patterned creature what is its name?
5) Seems unsafe in Aussie waters doesn’t it? It’s also not safe amongst the coral, this killer fish looks friendly enough but the long spines on its dorsal are enough to kill related to the Lion fish and NOT the stone fish what fish is it?
6) Supposedly found in rest area toilets, this spider has a distinctive red mark and a killer bite, what is it?
7) How many of the worlds 10 most deadly snakes live in Australia?
8) It could kill 100 humans with one bite and is the most poisonous snake in the world but what is its name?
9) Unusually the male of this spider is the one with the dodgy bite but what is the name of the spider with around 40 toxins in its venom?
10) This is a picture of a rather ugly looking snail, now I want to know its name and if it is poisonous or not?
